MOMENTS

WARNING: THIS VIDEO MAY MAKE YOUR EYES MOIST.

Before watching, to consider:

What is a “moment”?
What is a “fragment”?

A piece of the whole, or a whole unto itself?

How important is it to string moments together to create a narrative? Is that necessary at all?

Is it a human tendency/compulsion to attempt cohesion– closure?

Is the act of stringing together disparate moments what constitutes “self”?

If we fashion and shape “our stories” from an endless collection of moments/memories/sensory input, then how do we choose which ones to highlight, which to abolish?

The element of choice, here, seems paramount.
